Student Leadership University

www.studentleadership.net

Biography:
Designed with the student in mind, we encourage young leaders to commit themselves to excellence, which SLU defines as the ability to rise above self, circumstances, obstacles, change and the crowd. Patterned after leading Fortune 500 corporate leadership seminars, each student is exposed to comprehensive programs focusing on leadership skills such as time and life management, goal setting, dealing with conflict and difficult people, and developing a Christian worldview. Combining in-depth classroom lectures with accelerated learning, interactive workshops and in-the-field edutainment experiences, SLU spans the globe with four comprehensive programs. From the Smithsonian to the British Museum, the Louvre to the Vatican, SLU displays the dynamic role that faith has played in shaping the arts and the culture. All four of our programs are based on the belief that the greatest catalyst for personal development occurs through the people you meet; the places you go; and the books you read.

The vision of SLU is one that is optimistically looking forward towards the goal of empowering, enabling, and equipping students around the globe to rise to the call of leadership along with training students to be able to adequately respond to the challenges presented by an increasingly pluralistic and postmodern culture. Our vision is to train up a generation of leaders who will effectively engage their world on all levels with a contagious passion for Christ in a manner that is also full of both grace and truth. Our vision is to change the world... one student at a time.

Southeastern

www.sebts.edu

Biography:
Why am I here? It's a question you must answer at some point in your life. You respond: "To make a difference for the cause of Christ." But then there's the more difficult question: How? Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary can help you discover the answer to that question.

Unwavering in its commitment to the sufficiency and authority of Scripture, Southeastern Seminary is driven by a biblical conviction that unless your ministry is established on the Word of God, you labor in vain.

Step on the campus of Southeastern and you'll quickly discover that God is at work in the lives of the Southeastern family. Empowered by a spirit of revival, Southeastern is one of the fastest growing seminaries in the world. Students from across the country and throughout the world are realizing Southeastern's vision for reaching the world with the Gospel.

Southeastern is not your typical seminary. While boasting an outstanding faculty, Southeastern's academic prowess is exceeded only by its passion to turn the world upside down through the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Having served Southern Baptists for more than 50 years, Southeastern was founded on God's Word for the purpose of fulfilling The Great Commission. Southeastern seeks to train a generation of men and women who are committed to the Lordship of Christ and are willing to go anywhere and do anything for the sake of the Gospel.

Exodus Youth

www.exodusyouth.net

Biography:
You may not know or even be aware of some of the sexual and emotional struggles your youth go through day in and day out, struggles that the church has often put on the backburner. These are issues many wish to avoid, but doing so speaks volumes to those lost on the other side of this neglect. You have to prepare yourself - you need to start asking yourself, "How should I respond?"

Many people fight silently and alone with the painful questions surrounding homosexuality. Teenagers struggle with their sexuality, wondering why they're attracted to the same gender, wondering if that's the way it has to be, but too afraid to tell the people they love. Parents watch their children engage in self-destructive lifestyles but aren't sure how to help them without pushing them further away.

These are not easy questions - they're truly heart wrenching. But you're not alone in this. Understanding that the majority of student ministries are not well-equipped to handle the epidemic issues surrounding sexuality, Ignite Student Outreach has developed a partnership with Exodus International in order to equip youth leaders to know how to effectively minister to their students who are looking for freedom in Christ.
